    Use Loonie AI, Loonie’s own model that runs offline on your computer, or connect LM Studio, to chat with Guru and read your statements. Your financial data stays on your computer.

    An online AI service sees whatever you send it. Check its privacy terms first.

    Cloud sync and Google Drive backup are optional. They send data off your computer when turned on.

    Installed builds send privacy-filtered error reports and sampled feature usage to Sentry in the United States by default. Financial records, statements, conversations and account identities are excluded from reports. Disable reporting in Settings → Anonymous diagnostics. Sentry receives connection metadata when reports are sent.

    Loonie AI, made for your money.

    Guru now runs Loonie’s own model, trained for exactly the work it does in Loonie, and it keeps getting better.

    Loonie’s own model

    Fine-tuned for Guru’s jobs: understanding what you ask, short grounded answers, advice from your numbers, research reviews and reading your statements. It runs offline on your computer.

    Verified before it runs

    Loonie downloads its model only from Loonie’s Hugging Face page, and only after every file matches a release signed by Loonie. Nothing else is ever installed as built-in AI.

    Gets smarter on its own

    New versions download in the background and are checked before Guru switches to them. The one you have keeps answering until then. Turn it off any time in Settings.

    Answers your way

    Pick how Guru answers in Settings. Or connect LM Studio if you prefer to run your own model.

    Upgrading from 0.7? Your data and settings carry over. The previous built-in model (Gemma 4) is removed to free its disk space, and Loonie downloads its own model once. LM Studio setups keep working as they are. Read the full release notes.
